Are you looking for a high-quality melting pan, melting tank or fat melter for the efficient processing of solid products within your production process? Gpi’s melting units are specially designed for the controlled and rapid melting of chocolate, fat blocks, margarine, butter and pellets. Thanks to their hygienic design, durable stainless steel construction and advanced heating solutions, our melting systems offer the ideal solution for the chocolate and confectionery industry.
For inline- or batch melting of products, Gpi designs and produces industrial melting vats. The melting unit is capable to melt 100 up to 2,000kg/h of various products. Think not only of chocolate, blocks of fat, margarine and butter, but also of pellets. The melting units range from 5,4ft² (0.5m²) up to 48,4ft² (4.5m²) of melting surface.
Do you have questions about the melting unit?
Industrial chocolate melter for efficient production flow
Thanks to the smart internal product movement, the product to be melted is continuously guided along the heated surface. This ensures constant heat transfer and prevents stagnation or buildup of the product. The result is uniform melting without burning or loss of quality, even with sensitive ingredients like chocolate or fats.
Melting process of fats, chocolate and butter
The unique design offers a significant advantage over traditional melting methods and ensures highly efficient heat transfer, resulting in shorter melting times and lower energy consumption. This distinctive design also enables higher capacity within a small footprint.
Fat melting tank: both manual as CIP cleaning possible
The melting units are designed with easy cleaning and maintenance in mind. Depending on your process environment, the melting systems can be cleaned manually or equipped with a CIP (Clean-in-Place) system. This ensures a hygienic production process with minimal downtime which is essential for the food industry.
Melting capacity up to 2000kg/h per melting unit
Our melting units are available in various configurations, with melting capacities ranging from 100 to 2000 kilograms per hour. Whether you need to process a small batch or operate a continuous inline process, Gpi offers a suitable solution tailored to your production needs.
With melting surface areas ranging from 5,4ft² (0.5m²) to as much as 48,4ft² (4.5m²) we provide the optimal balance between capacity and footprint. The melting units are available in several sizes. Next to that we can offer different options. Get in contact to hear all the possibilities.

Fat melting tanks and butter melting tank solutions
Gpi’s melting units are designed for the efficient and controlled melting of a wide range of products, including chocolate, various fat blocks (such as cocoa butter, palm and animal fats), butter and margarine, palm stearin, vegetable fats like coconut fat, fat flakes and even wax. Thanks to their advanced heating technology and hygienic stainless steel design, these melting tanks ensure consistent product quality and reliable performance within both batch and continuous production processes.
Unique melting grid design
Thanks to the special melting grid, manufactured on an automatic Tig/plasma welding bench, the product to be melted is constantly refreshed. In this way the temperature of the grid can be raised higher than on conventional melting units, without damaging (burning) delicate products. Due to the high heated surface, a high melting capacity is achieved on a minimal surface.
Customize your smelting units to your wishes
We understand that a standard melting unit might not meet your wishes. That is why our melting trays can be equipped with a large number of options, so that we can be sure that the melting unit fits best with your product and process.
As an example, we can include an extra melting plate in the design to guarantee fully melted product for difficult products.
